IWSF has joined hands with "ADOPT A SHIP PROGRAM"(AAS) to create awareness amongst the younger generation about maritime industry.
- It is a FREE program that runs in schools, orphanages and shelters for 6 weeks or throughout the year.
- It was initiated by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC), and the Cyprus Maritime Environmental Protection Association (CYMEPA), in 2006.
- The program expanded into Philippines, Poland, India, United States and Greece.
- More than 800 children are participating in India and more than 14,000 children are participating worldwide.
